On this album, Maryliz shares compositions she wrote during the 2020 - 2022 pandemic. Thus, the piano collection has a particular quality of strength and perseverance, mixed with a struggle to try to understand what next steps might be in a future that appears so unpredictable.

These compositions are interspersed with Maryliz’s performance of pieces by Ludovico Einaudi, Alexina Louie, Ann Southam, Ennio Morricone, Eric Satie, and Max Richter. Altogether, there is just enough music to open an area of silence, a space, where new truths and perceptions may emerge to reimagine what is possible if we use both heart and mind.
