Maryliz
is an avid teacher, specializing as a coach for technically advanced
students of the piano and organ. She co-founded The Performing Arts
Course for Teenagers in 1990, an international summer arts course
held in the interior of British Columbia, and has designed workshops
for teens and adults to awaken the creative self, facilitating these
workshops in North America, Europe and South Africa. Her approach
to teaching emphasizes both reading and improvisational skills. She
uses a variety of methods customized for each student, depending on
the goals and innate abilities of each individual. These methods come
from 30 years of coaching and drawing out what is inherently authentic
for every person. |
